The Money Map

We track the money's movement. Never the people.

Aggregate  ·  Delayed  ·  Anonymous

Port Hercule, Monaco. September 2026.

Why this exists

Capital leaves a wake in the sky and on the water. Count the flights between seven airports near Davos in January and you have the attendance sheet of the World Economic Forum. Count the yachts along the Cote d'Azur in late September and you have the guest list of the Monaco Yacht Show, minus the names.

Aggregate enough of it and you can see where the room is going next. That is the entire product. Not who. Where.

01 · The method

Three rules.

Aggregate

We count flows between airports and ports. Never an individual aircraft. Never a hull. The pattern is the product; the tail number is none of our business.

Delayed

Patterns over weeks and seasons. Never a live pin. Anything that could locate a person today does not belong on this page.

Anonymous

No names, no tail numbers, no vessel identities, no claims about who was aboard. The room, never the guest list.

Patterns over time, never a live pin.

02 · The corridors

Four routes the money takes.

January · Switzerland

Roughly one per four, 2025
Zurich, single day
54 jets, up 170% on a typical week

Sources: Greenpeace "Davos in the Sky" (Jan 2026) · Euronews · Flightradar24

The Coriumist read: one week a year the global elite agree on the same mountain. The flight count is the attendance sheet.

Late September · French Riviera

Monaco Yacht Show

Nice Cote d'Azur · Cannes Mandelieu · Golfe de Saint-Tropez → Port Hercule

35th edition, Sep 23-26 2026
120+ superyachts · 60 tenders · ~30,000 visitors
Pre-show gathering, Sep 18-21 2026
120+ mega yachts along the Cote d'Azur
Riviera business aviation, 2025
Movements up 4% across the three airports
Nice airport, 2025
Record 15.23M commercial passengers
The last mile
Monaco has no fixed-wing airport. Nice to the heliport: ~7 minutes.

Sources: Monaco Yacht Show organizers · Monaco Life · Travel and Tour World (Sep 2026) · BLADE

The Coriumist read: the money does not fly to Monaco. It flies to Nice and takes a seven-minute helicopter. Watch the heliport, not the harbor.

Early December · Miami

Art Basel Miami Beach

Teterboro → Miami · Nassau → Miami · Providenciales → Miami

The window
2026 fair: previews Dec 2-3, public Dec 4-6
Departure share
Early December among the busiest private-aviation windows in Florida
Parking
Overnight spots committed weeks out; aircraft reposition after drop-off
Historical markers
~900 aircraft expected, 2017 · NetJets bookings up 16% (~250 flights), 2014

Sources: Haute Living (Sep 2026) · flypeak · Amalfi Jets

The Coriumist read: the art is the excuse. The real fair is the migration itself. New York empties into Miami for one week.

Late September to early October · Ligurian Sea

Monaco to Genoa

Port Hercule → Waterfront di Levante

The handoff
Monaco closed Sep 26, 2026. Genoa opens Oct 1-6, 2026.
Genoa, 66th edition
1,000+ boats · 215 new models · 45 countries
The calendar move
Genoa ran Sep 18-23 in 2025; moved to Oct 1-6 in 2026

Sources: salonenautico.com · mersetbateaux.com

The Coriumist read: Monaco was the money. Genoa is the product. The fleet does not scatter after the show. It sails east.

03 · The rooms

Where the money sits down to eat.

The map is where the money moves. The rooms are where it stops moving. Twelve public rooms, documented by the press and the public record, where the circuit gathers in each corridor city.

Davos

Hotel Seehof Davos

The deal bar

The Congress Centre is the stage. The Seehof is where the week is actually negotiated, in public, over drinks the press has photographed for a decade.

Morosani Schweizerhof, piano bar

The late room

The piano plays until the last delegate leaves. Nobody schedules the conversations that happen here.

Kirchner Museum Davos

The cultural alibi

Everyone goes. Everyone is seen going. The art is real and so is the networking.

Monaco

Bar Americain, Hotel de Paris

The aperitif room

Old money drinks here before the harbor lights come on. The terrace faces the casino; the room faces itself.

Sass Cafe

The dinner room

The table is the message. During show week the room is a seating chart of the Mediterranean money.

Yacht Club de Monaco

The members' room

The building is shaped like a ship and the fleet outside is the membership list made visible.

Miami

Faena Forum

The cathedral

Basel week's big room. Art, money, and performance under one red dome.

Soho Beach House

The house pass

If you are staying elsewhere during Basel, you are visiting. The pool deck is the week.

The Miami Beach EDITION

The basement

The fair ends at midnight. The week does not. The basement has no windows and no closing time that matters.

Portofino

Belmond Hotel Splendido

The terrace

Above the harbor, above the fleet. The view is the point and everyone on the terrace knows it.

Ristorante Puny

The piazzetta table

Lunch here is a seating chart made public. The harbor watches; the harbor is watched.

Caffe Excelsior

The morning room

Espresso on the piazzetta while the fleet wakes up. The day's business starts before the coffee cools.

Public rooms only. What the press documents, we map. What happens inside them is reported, never surveilled. The full seating charts, and the rooms that never make the press, live in The Rooms.

04 · The thesis

Wealth is a where.

Ask why the same billionaires, chief executives, and technology founders keep ending up at the same dinners, the same harbors, the same hotel bars, and the answers come back in layers. Some of it is business. Some of it is obligation. Some of it is status maintenance, the quiet tax on remaining legible to the people who matter. Some of it is pleasure, because a week on the water in September is genuinely pleasant.

Under all of it is something simpler: proximity. Put yourself in the room and luck has a chance to mix with opportunity. The chance encounter at the hotel bar. The seat next to the billionaire at the fish restaurant in Cape Cod. The pitch that only happens because two people were standing on the same dock at the same time. None of it is plannable. All of it is positionable.

The map is where the money moves. The rooms are where it sits down to eat. Under both is the human story: everyone in the room is there because being somewhere else felt like missing something.

05 · The cost

Two kinds of passengers.

The circuit carries two kinds of people. The first owns the yacht. The second works in business development for a major firm and is maintaining the appearance of belonging: the right hotel, the right dinners, the right harbor at the right week, expensed and carefully documented, because access is the job.

From the outside the two look identical. From the inside the difference is everything. One of them is on vacation. The other is performing proximity, week after week, season after season, in Sardinia in yacht week and in Davos in January, smiling through the fourth dinner of the night with people who might one day take a meeting.

Sometimes the performance pays. A friendship forms. A door opens. That is the entire economics of the circuit: expensive, exhausting, and occasionally, for someone standing in exactly the right room, worth it.

This page maps the rooms. It does not pretend everyone in them is having fun.

06 · The calendar

Where the room goes next.

Oct 1-6, 2026 · Genoa
Genoa International Boat Show, 66th edition. The build room: 1,000+ boats, 215 new models, 45 countries.
Dec 2-6, 2026 · Miami
Art Basel Miami Beach. The migration: previews Dec 2-3, public Dec 4-6. Watch Teterboro.
January, annual · Davos
World Economic Forum. The mountain. 709 extra flights in the 2025 week.
May, annual · Monaco
Monaco Grand Prix. The harbor. The most expensive traffic jam on earth.

07 · How it is built

Public inputs only.

Version one of the Money Map is built on published reports: Greenpeace's "Davos in the Sky," airport authority traffic figures, organizer announcements, and the trade press. Every number on this page carries its year and its source.

What comes next: live ADS-B and AIS feeds, airport-pair flow counts computed weekly, and a corridor index for every room on the circuit.

What will never be built: a live pin on a person. The method forbids it and so do we.

The Coriumist Index is an intelligence visualization tool. This is not financial advice or investment guidance.
